Itinerary

Saturday - Chilham & Godmersham Circular

  • Distance: 17 km
  • Elevation Gain: 400 m
  • Grade: Moderate - Challenging
  • Time: 5hrs + Breaks

This scenic loop through the North Downs features rolling hills, peaceful woodland, and the charming villages of Chilham and Godmersham. We’ll follow part of the North Downs Way, taking in sweeping countryside views and quiet rural paths with a few rewarding climbs.

Afterwards, we’ll check into our accommodation, where you can relax and settle in before heading out for dinner at a local pub. A perfect way to unwind and get to know your fellow adventurers after a days hiking.

Sunday - Faversham, Oare Marshes & Luddenham Circular

  • Distance: 18 km
  • Elevation Gain: 80 m
  • Grade: Moderate - Moderate
  • Time: 5hrs + Breaks

A gentle circular route exploring Faversham Creek, Oare Creek, and the wide-open landscapes of the Oare Marshes. Expect estuary views, birdlife, peaceful walking along the sea wall and rural tracks, an ideal contrast to the hills of Day 1.

safety

Guides:

Our Walks are led by qualified walking leaders with Mountain Training UK and Outdoor First Aiders.

Weather:

We love the sun but if it is having a day off please be aware activities will still go ahead in the rain. However if conditions are unsafe, hikes are subject to change.

Terrain:

Hikes on this trip are moderate - challenging, suitable for those comfortable walking up to 18 km with some elevation gain. The terrain varies from well-trodden paths to uneven woodland trails. You should be prepared for some short ascents and descents and uneven ground. You must be physically fit & well. You are responsible for your own health & safety and must be well enough to hike for 5+ hours.

Fitness & Preparedness:

It is your responsibility to ensure you sign up for a trip that matches your current fitness level and walking experience. Our walks are graded to help you choose appropriately, but please read the trip descriptions carefully and consider the distance, elevation, terrain, and expected pace.

If, for any reason, the walk leader has concerns about your ability to complete a particular walk within the required time or at a suitable pace, you may be asked not to join that walk. This decision is never taken lightly, but it is made for the safety, well being, and enjoyment of the entire group.

Some of our routes are remote or exposed, with limited options to shorten or exit early. Fatigue, cold, heat, or lack of preparedness can pose real risks, especially over multi-day trips. Our aim is for everyone to have a positive and safe experience, so we appreciate your honesty when assessing your readiness and your cooperation with leader decisions on the day.

Sign Up Form:

Please complete the below sign up form at least 7 days before the start of the trip
