This trip pack has everything you need to know - What to bring, where to meet and what to expect. Any questions, please ask them in the trip WhatsApp group.
3 nights / 4 day adventure
Female only group
We meet near Ambleside by Rydal Water and head out for a stunning circular hike over Loughrigg Fell, a perfect introduction to the Lake District with rewarding views over Rydal Water and the surrounding valleys.
Afterwards, we’ll check into our accommodation, where you can relax and settle in before heading out for dinner at a local pub. A perfect way to unwind and get to know your fellow adventurers after a days hiking.
Today is your challenge day — we’ll tackle either Blencathra (868 m) or Skiddaw (931 m), depending on the weather and conditions. This is a full mountain day led by a qualified mountain guide. Expect up to 8–9 hours out on the hills, with steep ascents, rocky ground, and exposed sections. Some of the routes may include light scrambling or narrow ridges, particularly on Blencathra (such as Sharp Edge or Hall’s Fell Ridge), though we’ll only take these options if conditions are suitable.
Lunch will be enjoyed on the go, and in the evening, we’ll regroup for a relaxed dinner in the nearby area.
After the mountains, we’ll take it easy with a flat, scenic walk around Derwent Water, starting and ending in Keswick. This trail offers mostly lakeside paths with a few shaded sections and peaceful views. We’ll wrap up the walk with a well-earned ice cream in town
In the evening, we’ll gather for a well-earned dinner for our final night in the local area.
We'll finish our Lake District adventure with an optional high ropes session at Go Ape, set in the beautiful Grizedale Forest. Expect zip lines, rope bridges, and lots of laughter to round off the weekend on a high!
We're booked for a midday start, so there's time to check out of the accommodation, travel south to Grizedale, and grab a coffee before we get going. The Go Ape Course takes 2-3 hours to complete.
For those not taking part in Go Ape, you're very welcome to join us at Grizedale and enjoy a walk and explore the forest while we are in the treetops - or feel free to head off and do your own thing.
Afterwards, we’ll say our goodbyes and begin the journey home, taking with us the memories of an unforgettable weekend.
We'll be staying at Herdwick House, a comfortable 4 star holiday home in the peaceful village of Troutbeck, we will have exclusive use of the property for the weekend.
With four cosy bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a garden with a courtyard, it's the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.

It is your responsibility to ensure you sign up for a trip that matches your current fitness level and walking experience. Our walks are graded to help you choose appropriately, but please read the trip descriptions carefully and consider the distance, elevation, terrain, and expected pace.
If, for any reason, the walk leader has concerns about your ability to complete a particular walk within the required time or at a suitable pace, you may be asked not to join that walk. This decision is never taken lightly, but it is made for the safety, well being, and enjoyment of the entire group.
Some of our routes are remote or exposed, with limited options to shorten or exit early. Fatigue, cold, heat, or lack of preparedness can pose real risks, especially over multi-day trips.
