Itinerary

Friday - Corfe Castle

  • Distance: 11 km
  • Elevation Gain: 300m
  • Time: 3to 4.5 hours with breaks
  • Difficulty: Moderate 2.5 out of 5

Friday - Corfe Castle Walk  We will walk a scenic loop around Corfe Castle with far-reaching views over Purbeck. This is a great introduction to the area, with plenty of views of the surrounding countryside.

Afterwards, we’ll check into our accommodation, where you can relax and settle in before heading out for dinner at a local pub. A perfect way to unwind and get to know your fellow adventurers after a days hiking.

Saturday - Old Harry Rocks

  • Distance: 16 km
  • Elevation Gain: 276m
  • Time: 5 to 6 hours with breaks
  • Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging 2.5 out of 5

A classic Dorset walk featuring chalk sea stacks of Old Harry Rocks, the golden beaches of Studland cliff paths, and quite countryside paths. It's a beautiful blend of coastal drama and peaceful walking with plenty of great photo opportunities.

Lunch will be enjoyed on the go, and in the evening, we’ll regroup for a relaxed dinner in the nearby area.

Sunday - Durdle Door & Lulworth Cove

  • Distance: 14 km
  • Elevation Gain: 475m
  • Time: 5.5 to 6.5 hours with breaks
  • Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging - Grade 2.5 out of 5

A stunning coastal hike along one of the most iconic stretches of the Jurassic Coast. Staring at Lulworth Cove, we'll follow the undulating clifftop path past dramatic sea stacks, hidden bays, and the world-famous Durdle Door.

In the evening, we’ll gather for a well-earned dinner for our final night in the local area.

Monday - Wareham Forest & Morden

  • Distance: 11 km
  • Elevation Gain: 110m
  • Time: 3.5 to 4.5 hours with breaks
  • Difficulty: Moderate - Grade 2 out of 5

Our final walk takes us through peaceful woodlands and open heaths of Wareham Forest following sections of the Hardy's Way, through Morden Bog National Nature Reserve, The route is a mix of sandy paths, woodland tracks and heathlands with a few gentle inclines.

After the hike, we’ll say our goodbyes and begin the journey home, taking with us the memories of an unforgettable weekend.

Guides:

Our walks are led by a qualified walking leader with Mountain Training UK and Outdoor First Aider.

Weather:

We love the sun but if it is having a day off please be aware activities will still go ahead in the rain. However if conditions are unsafe, hikes are subject to change or cancelled for safety reasons. If we do have to cancel a walk, we'll do our best to arrange an alternative plan for the day.

Terrain:

Hikes on this trip are moderate - challenging, suitable for those comfortable walking up to 16 km with some elevation gain. The terrain varies from well-trodden paths to rocky coastal trails. You should be prepared for some ascents, descents and uneven ground. You must be physically fit & well. You are responsible for your own health & safety and must be well enough to hike for 7+ hours.

Fitness & Preparedness:

It is your responsibility to ensure you sign up for a trip that matches your current fitness level and walking experience. Our walks are graded to help you choose appropriately, but please read the trip descriptions carefully and consider the distance, elevation, terrain, and expected pace.

If, for any reason, the walk leader has concerns about your ability to complete a particular walk within the required time or at a suitable pace, you may be asked not to join that walk. This decision is never taken lightly, but it is made for the safety, well being, and enjoyment of the entire group.

Some of our routes are remote or exposed, with limited options to shorten or exit early. Fatigue, cold, heat, or lack of preparedness can pose real risks, especially over multi-day trips. Our aim is for everyone to have a positive and safe experience, so we appreciate your honesty when assessing your readiness and your cooperation with leader decisions on the day.
