Welcome everyone to the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Trip!
Hope you are looking forward to three days of hiking, fresh air and adventure in the stunning Eryi (Snowdonia) National Park.
This trip pack has everything you need to know - What to bring, where to meet and what to expect. Any questions, please ask them in the trip WhatsApp group.
2 nights /3 day adventure
Female only group

We will arrive at the accommodation @ 2pm, and then drive to the start of the first hike, Aber Falls. This hike is through a beautiful wooded valley on the northern edge of Eryi (Snowdonia). The walk leads to the spectacular Aber falls, one of Eryi’s most impressive waterfalls at 120 feet tall.
Grade: Moderate
Terrain: Some rough ground
Distance: 5 miles / 8 km
Time: 2-3 hours walking
Ascent: 280 metres
Dinner will be in the local pub/ restaurant near to where we are staying.

We head off early* to start our ascent to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon), the tallest mountain in Wales. We are intending to do the quieter route from Rhyd Ddu & South Ridge which has some short sections of scrambling and exposure.

Terrain: Mountain Paths/ Some Exposure
Duration: 7 Hours

Ascent: 900 metres / 2950 feet
Once we have descended we will head back to the accommodation.
Evening Dinner in the local area.
*Please be aware this is an early start & the drive to start point is around 40/45 mins.

After breakfast and checking out of the accommodation we will head to the start point of our last hike, 2 lakes walk, Llyn Geurionnydd & Llyn Crafnat Reservoiur.
This is a much gentler walk alongside the reservoirs and through forest, lovely views of the lakes and surrounding hills.
Grade: Moderate
Terrain: Mix of good path, tracks and uneven ground Duration: 3-4 Hours

Miles: 6 Miles / 10 km
Ascent: 330 metres / 1080 feet
We will aim to finish the walk by 2pm, allowing time for everyone's onward journey.

We will be staying in Conwy at a YHA Hostel Close to Conwy Castle and the beach.
This comfortable hostel offers everything you need for a restful stay:
• Shared Rooms & Shared Bathrooms: Cosy bunk beds with bedding provided (bring your own towels).

What’s Not Included
❌ Meals & drinks – bring your own breakfast and lunch; evening meals will be at local pubs or self-catered at the bunkhouse
❌ Transport – You’ll need your own transport to and from the hikes. Participants typically arrange car sharing amongst themselves. Any arrangements are made privately between participants and are not the responsibility of Adventure Women UK.

Breakfasts
Please bring food with you for Breakfasts, we have a kitchen in our accommodation for making our own food.
You can also buy a cooked breakfast at the accommodation. (This may not be possible for Saturday as we will be leaving early)
Lunches
Please eat lunch before the first walk on Friday.
Sat - Mon - Packed lunches can be prepared at the accommodation.
Please make sure you bring Lunch / Snacks with you for Saturday - we won't have time to buy anything before our Snowdon day.
Dinners
Will be eating out in local restaurants /Pubs or maybe a takeaway. We will do our best to cater for all dietary requirements.
If you prefer not to join us for dinner, you are welcome to use the self-catering kitchen.
Please Note: Food and drink is not included.

Guides:
Our walks are led by a qualified walking leader with Mountain Training UK and Outdoor First Aider.
Weather:
We love the sun but if it is having a day off please be aware activities will still go ahead in the rain. However if conditions are unsafe, hikes are subject to change or cancellation for safety reasons. If we do have to cancel a walk, we'll do our best to arrange an alternative plan for the day.
Terrain:
Hikes on this trip are Moderate - Tough, suitable for those comfortable walking 12-17 km with elevation gains of up to 900 meters. The terrain varies from well-trodden paths to rocky and remote mountainous terrain with sections that may be slippery or wet underfoot. You should be prepared for some ascents and descents and uneven rocky ground and exposed sections including ridges. You are responsible for your own health & Safety and should be confident hiking for several hours in variable conditions.

Activities, Fitness & Personal Responsibility:
It is your responsibility to ensure you book a trip that matches your current fitness level and experience. Our walks and activities are graded to help guide your choice, but please read the full trip description carefully and consider the distance, elevation, terrain, pace, and any specific requirements.
If, at any point, the activity leader has concerns about your ability to complete a walk within the required time or at a suitable pace—or feels you may not be able to take part safely—you may be asked not to join the activity. This decision is never taken lightly and is made in the interest of the safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment of the whole group.
Some walks and activities take place in remote or exposed areas, where options to shorten or leave early may be limited. Fatigue, weather conditions, or lack of preparation can present real risks, particularly on multi-day trips.
Outdoor activities carry an element of inherent risk, which cannot be completely eliminated. Participants remain responsible for their own actions, decisions, and personal safety at all times.
Accommodation & Free Time:
Time spent at the accommodation—including use of kitchens, appliances, outdoor areas, and other facilities—is considered free time and is not a supervised or guided activity.
Participants are responsible for their own safety and actions while at the property. Adventure Women UK and its leaders are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from personal time or the use of accommodation facilities.
Guests should follow any guidance or rules provided by the property and use all facilities sensibly and at their own risk.
