We’ll start in the peaceful village of Upton before heading out into the Upton Broad & Marshes Nature Reserve, an internationally important wetland full of wintering swans, geese, and ducks. Our route follows reedbeds, riverside paths along the River Bure, and quiet lanes before looping back to Upton. Expect big skies, varied birdlife, and a true taste of the Broads landscape
After the walk we will head to the accommodation, we will have some free time to enjoy the Spa facilities. We will regroup in the evening for dinner

Optional Sunrise Nature Connection | 07:35 – 08:15
Before Breakfast For those who wish, we’ll begin the day with a gentle mindfulness practice on Caister beach, welcoming the new day as the sun rises over the North Sea at 07:51 AM. This is a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and connect with nature before breakfast.

However if conditions are unsafe, activities are subject to be changed or cancelled for safety reasons. If we do have to cancel an activity, we'll do our best to arrange an alternative plan for the day. Unsafe weather can include heavy rain, strong wind, snow, thunder & lighting for example.
Terrain:
Hikes on this trip are Moderate - suitable for those comfortable walking up to 15 km. The terrain varies from well-trodden paths to rural tracks and woodland trails, The paths can be uneven & muddy. You should be prepared for some uneven ground that may be slippery. You must be physically fit & well. You are responsible for your own health & safety and must be well enough to hike for 5+ hours.
Sign Up Form:

https://form.jotform.com/201554976381058
When completing your form, please let us know if you have any injuries, illnesses, or additional needs that could help us plan and manage the walk safely. This is not about excluding anyone - it's so we can be aware, prepared and carry any additional kit if needed to support you on the day.
Fitness & Preparedness:
It is your responsibility to ensure you sign up for a trip that matches your current fitness level and experience. Our walks and activities are graded to help you choose appropriately, but please read the trip descriptions carefully and consider the distance, elevation, terrain, and expected pace and experience required for activities.
If, for any reason, the activity leader has concerns about your ability to complete a particular walk within the required time or at a suitable pace, OR the activity leader has any concerns that you cannot take part in the activity safely, you may be asked not to join the walk or activity. This decision is never taken lightly, but it is made for the safety, well being, and enjoyment of the entire group.
Some of our activities and walks are in remote or exposed areas, with limited options to shorten or exit early. Fatigue, cold, heat, or lack of preparedness can pose real risks, especially over multi-day trips. Our aim is for everyone to have a positive and safe experience, so we appreciate your honesty when assessing your readiness and your cooperation with leader decisions on the day.

Adventure Women UK trips are all about shared experiences — walking, laughing, and adventuring together in a supportive and welcoming environment. To make sure everyone feels comfortable and included, please keep the following in mind throughout the trip:
Be Kind & Inclusive:
Treat everyone with respect, kindness, and patience. We’re all here for the same reason — to enjoy the outdoors and connect with like-minded women. Please help create a friendly, non-judgmental atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and valued.
Respect Space & Cleanliness:
Be mindful of shared spaces — whether that’s bunkhouse kitchens, bathrooms, or common areas. Keep your gear tidy, clean up after yourself, and be considerate of others’ need for quiet time or rest.
Be Considerate & Encouraging:
We all come with different experiences, comfort levels, and strengths. A positive attitude and consideration for others help create a relaxed and enjoyable group dynamic. Support goes both ways — everyone contributes to making the trip a great experience for the whole group.
Follow Safety Guidance:
Please follow your leader’s instructions at all times and stay within the planned route. If you notice anything unsafe or feel unwell, let a leader know straight away. The use of alcohol or anything that could impair judgement during activities is not permitted.
Environment & Community:
We follow Leave No Trace principles — take all litter home, respect wildlife, and stick to paths where possible. We’re guests in the landscapes and communities we visit, so please be polite, responsible, and respectful towards local people and places.
Confidentiality & Privacy:
What’s shared within the group stays within the group. Respect personal boundaries, and never share others’ stories or photos without permission.
By joining this trip, you’re agreeing to uphold the Adventure Women UK ethos — one of kindness, inclusion, responsibility, and adventure with integrity.
