10 km | 280 m ascent | ~3 hrs 30 mins | Grade Moderate
A gentle introduction to the Gower coastline. Starting in Horton, we follow the coastal path to Oxwich Bay, where limestone cliffs rise above turquoise shallows. The route passes Oxwich Castle and peaceful woodland before looping back through open fields with sea views.
After the walk, we’ll head to the accommodation and regroup in the evening for dinner.

19.5 km | 430 m ascent | ~7 hrs | Grade Challenging
One of Britain’s most spectacular coastal walks. We’ll explore the iconic Worm’s Head, a tidal island reached via causeway (tide-permitting), before tracing the sweeping sands and dunes of Rhossili Bay and climbing to panoramic viewpoints. Expect wild cliffs, seabirds, and exhilarating coastal walking.

18.5 km | 450 m ascent | ~6 hrs 30 mins | Grade Challenging
A classic Gower route linking cliff-top trails, beaches, and wooded valleys. We’ll visit the famous arches of Three Cliffs Bay, then continue through hidden coves, salt marshes, and the charming villages of Parkmill and Pennard. A highlight of the weekend – with unforgettable views at every turn.

8.5 km | 100 m ascent | ~2 hrs 30 mins | Grade Easy
A peaceful finale exploring the dunes, pine woods, and tidal flats at the remote northern tip of Gower. We’ll visit the cast-iron Whiteford Lighthouse standing alone in the sands – a striking landmark and perfect farewell to the weekend.

Rest of Trip

Please bring food with you for breakfasts, lunches, and plenty of snacks for the trip.
There are a few small local shops nearby (around a 15-minute drive — Premier Store and a local community shop), although these are quite limited.
Evening meals will either be booked at a local restaurant or we may opt for a takeaway on some evenings.
A self-catering kitchen is available if you’d prefer to cook your own meals.
Please note there is one upright fridge, so space is limited — ideally bring food that can be stored ambient and minimise items that require refrigeration.
Tea, coffee, and milk will be provided.
Milk provided will include cow’s milk and oat milk (ambient cartons). If you prefer a different milk alternative, please bring your own — ambient options are strongly recommended due to limited fridge space.

Guides:
Our Walks are led by a qualified walking leader with Mountain Training UK and Outdoor First Aider.
Weather:
We love the sun but if it is having a day off please be aware activities will still go ahead in the rain. However if conditions are unsafe, activities are subject to be changed or cancelled for safety reasons. If we do have to cancel an activity, we'll do our best to arrange an alternative plan for the day. Unsafe weather can include heavy rain, strong wind, snow, thunder & lightning for example.
Terrain:
Hikes on this trip are Moderate to Challenging - suitable for those comfortable walking up to 20 km with elevation. The terrain varies from well-trodden paths to rural tracks and woodland trails, The paths can be uneven & muddy. You should be prepared for some uneven ground that may be slippery. You must be physically fit & well. You are responsible for your own health & safety and must be well enough to hike for 5+ hours.

https://form.jotform.com/201554976381058
When completing your form, please let us know if you have any injuries, illnesses, or additional needs that could help us plan and manage the walk safely. This is not about excluding anyone - it's so we can be aware, prepared and carry any additional kit if needed to support you on the day.
Fitness & Preparedness:
It is your responsibility to ensure you sign up for a trip that matches your current fitness level and experience. Our walks and activities are graded to help you choose appropriately, but please read the trip descriptions carefully and consider the distance, elevation, terrain, and expected pace and experience required for activities.
If, for any reason, the activity leader has concerns about your ability to complete a particular walk within the required time or at a suitable pace, OR the activity leader has any concerns that you cannot take part in the activity safely, you may be asked not to join the walk or activity. This decision is never taken lightly, but it is made for the safety, well being, and enjoyment of the entire group.
Some of our activities and walks are in remote or exposed areas, with limited options to shorten or exit early. Fatigue, cold, heat, or lack of preparedness can pose real risks, especially over multi-day trips. Our aim is for everyone to have a positive and safe experience, so we appreciate your honesty when assessing your readiness and your cooperation with leader decisions on the day.

Adventure Women UK trips are all about shared experiences — walking, laughing, and adventuring together in a supportive and welcoming environment. To make sure everyone feels comfortable and included, please keep the following in mind throughout the trip:
Be Kind & Inclusive:
Treat everyone with respect, kindness, and patience. We’re all here for the same reason — to enjoy the outdoors and connect with like-minded women. Please help create a friendly, non-judgmental atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and valued.
Respect Space & Cleanliness:
Be mindful of shared spaces — whether that’s bunkhouse kitchens, bathrooms, or common areas. Keep your gear tidy, clean up after yourself, and be considerate of others’ need for quiet time or rest.
Be Considerate & Encouraging:
We all come with different experiences, comfort levels, and strengths. A positive attitude and consideration for others help create a relaxed and enjoyable group dynamic. Support goes both ways — everyone contributes to making the trip a great experience for the whole group.
Follow Safety Guidance:
Please follow your leader’s instructions at all times and stay within the planned route. If you notice anything unsafe or feel unwell, let a leader know straight away. The use of alcohol or anything that could impair judgement during activities is not permitted.
Environment & Community:
We follow Leave No Trace principles — take all litter home, respect wildlife, and stick to paths where possible. We’re guests in the landscapes and communities we visit, so please be polite, responsible, and respectful towards local people and places.
Confidentiality & Privacy:
What’s shared within the group stays within the group. Respect personal boundaries, and never share others’ stories or photos without permission.
By joining this trip, you’re agreeing to uphold the Adventure Women UK ethos — one of kindness, inclusion, responsibility, and adventure with integrity.
