3 nights / 4 day adventure
Female only group
We start the weekend with a stunning circular hike across Levisham Moor, a wild and open landscape where the rolling hills of the North York Moors unfold before us. The highlight of this walk is the Hole of Horcum, a vast natural amphitheatre with a fascinating legend—said to have been formed by a giant scooping up a handful of earth! Expect open skies, incredible views, and a great introduction to the moors.
Afterwards, we’ll check into our accommodation, where you can relax and settle in before heading out for dinner at a local pub. A perfect way to unwind and get to know your fellow adventurers after a days hiking.
Today, we swap the moors for the coast, following the Cleveland Way from the historic town of Whitby towards Robin Hood’s Bay, with an optional detour to Boggle Hole. Expect spectacular cliff-top views, sea air, and a chance to explore the charming fishing villages that once harboured smugglers. There will be time to soak in the atmosphere at Robin Hood’s Bay before we return to Whitby via taxi or local transport.
Lunch will be enjoyed on the go, and in the evening, we’ll regroup for a relaxed dinner in the nearby area.
This walk takes us into one of the wildest parts of the North York Moors, exploring the expansive landscapes of Blakey Ridge and Rosedale Moor. Following the route of a disused railway, we’ll pass the ruins of old ironstone mines, offering a fascinating look into the area’s industrial past. At the high point on Blakey Ridge, we’ll be rewarded with incredible panoramic views, before descending into Rosedale Abbey, a charming village nestled in the valley. This walk is a fantastic mix of remote moorland, history, and stunning vistas, making it one of the best hikes in the National Park.
In the evening, we’ll gather for a well-earned dinner for our final night in the local area.
Our final walk takes us through ancient woodlands and open moors, starting in Goathland, a village famous for its role in the TV series Heartbeat. We’ll visit Mallyan Spout, a spectacular 21m waterfall, before weaving through forests, streams, and the hamlet of Beck Hole. A final climb takes us to Simon Howe, a prehistoric standing stone site offering far-reaching views over the moors—a perfect ending to an incredible weekend.
After the hike, we’ll say our goodbyes and begin the journey home, taking with us the memories of an unforgettable weekend.
